This species is usually found in Manholes & drainage. They feed on decaying matters. They are bigger in size compared to German cockroaches. They are 35 to 55 mm long. They are reddish brown in color. Female cockroach can produce 160 young ones in her lifetime. Female cockroach lays eggshell once in a month. This eggshell is called ootheca. Ootheca contains 16 eggs in it. These eggs hatch out in about 6 - 8 weeks. Adult can live up to 15 - 20 Months.
