Just like any other pets goats too require some sort of caring and grooming to enhance its beauty and health. It is most necessary to trim the nails every fortnight to help them walk & run properly. The nails if not clipped regularly can accumulate dirt which will be prone to diseases. A specialised person has been appointed to carry out the procedure periodically as a deep cut can wound the goat.
Our raising goats as part of a green lifestyle, our goats won't require a lot of grooming. But grooming pays dividends in the long run by making the goat feel better (who doesn't feel better with a good brushing?), enabling you to evaluate the goat's health, and giving the goat more experience with being handled.
There are specified areas to give bath to the goats and later sunlight to dry their bodies. Extra long hair on their hind is trimmed as it gives a shabby look and even bad odor because of urinal deposits. Their entire body is brushed with comb on a daily bases to keep them lice free and well groomed. The hygiene thus maintained helps the goat to favorably gain weight and enhance its beauty to optimum level.
